Rules

This is a head to head match-up league.  There are 8 teams.  The regular season will consist of 7 weeks, which results in each team playing every other team once. The playoffs will begin in Week 8. Everyone will make the playoffs and the seeding will be based on regular season performance.

TEAMS:

Each team will consist of 7 players:
2 Guards
2 Forwards/Centers
1 Flex (Guard or Forward)
2 Bench Spots

SCORING:

The categories used for scoring include:
Points
Rebounds
Assists
Steals
Blocks
3 pointers
Field Goal Percentage
Free Throw Percentage
Turnovers

All statistics will be obtained from the Big Ten Website for uniformity.  Scores will be updated as soon as possible following a "round" of games.  Each week consists of two "rounds" of games. The first "round" is from Tuesday to Thursday; the second is Saturday and Sunday. I will do my best to update the scores every Friday and Monday at least.  If you don't want to wait for me, use the Big Gay Matrix .

Weeks begin on Monday and end on Sunday.

DROPPING/ADDING INFORMATION:

You can drop/add a player by sending an email to everyone before doing so.  The first person to email that they have picked someone up wins.  If you do drop someone, you cannot pick them back up for one week from the day you dropped them.

Players can only be played at positions listed.

Note that any transaction involving a player that has already had a game during the current round will be effective for the next round. For instance, if you have a player on Illinois and they played Tuesday, you cannot drop him and add another player from Ohio State that has a game on Thursday and use the new player that round. He will be eligible for your team the following round of games.

LINEUP INFORMATION:

If you want to change your lineup (i.e. move someone from the bench to a player position), you need to email everyone your new lineup before the begining of the first game of the half-week (usually either Tuesday night or Wednesday night for early week games and Saturday for late week games). Lineups cannot be changed during the current round of games.

IMPORTANT PLAYOFF  INFORMATION:

In the event of a tie in a playoff round (like 3-3 or 2-2), the total amount of all the categories will be added up for each team and the team with the most points would win.  Field goal and free throw percentages will be multiplied by 100 and turnovers will be subtracted. For example, a few years back, Todd and Mike tied in the championship game by putting up this line:

Player Points Reb Ast Stl Blk 3PT FG% FT% TO Total
Mike 279 148 68 26 11 24 .424 .655 37 4
Todd 348 148 49 24 17 18 .450 .825 51 4

Tie-breaker:

Mike: 626.89

Todd: 680.44

As you can see, Todd was the winner 680.44 to 626.89, and as a result he took home the love and admiration of all by virtue of his championship performance.

MORE IMPORTANT PLAYOFF INFO:

If there is a tie while determining playoff seeds, the tie-breaker will be total record in head-to-head matchups. If that is tied, we will use the BCS Standings or a random number generator.
